Petal Power 17, 18 from Virtual Quilter

I love the first one … I would make the blocks big enough to fit whatever size bed it was going to be used on, but add more plain border to hang over the side of the bed.

The second design is too busy … no room for quilting, or for my eyes to rest.

Wow! So pretty! A great combination of applique and quilting.

I like that the blocks have room for quilting to shine without getting too mixed up with the colours.

A bit of contrast to the colouring of yesterday’s blocks!

I like the second design best … the change of border makes quite a difference. The first one was nice, but it faded away around the edge … the second design has a stronger finish.

I love every design in this project file, so picking a favorite is usually out of the question.

I have almost decided that the second designs was my favourite of these two, but I may change my mind before you see this post.

Petal Power 3, 4 from Virtual Quilter

My garden features lots of pink, and lots of green … far too much as much of the green at the moment is weeds.

However, in virtual and real quilts I can limit the amount of green, and I love the results.

Less blocks, smaller quilt unless the blocks are enlarged, but still pretty.
